As part of the rounds of presentations that take place during the NIS university week, Hendrik Wittkopf  introduced his work through a consideration of one of the main themes that preoccupies him in relation to painting; the layer. The presentation is introduced as an incomplete project that will be 'tightened up' through the comments and questions that arise while giving it, adding our reading to the preceeding ones.
