PUBLISHING

Our first two PDF booklets will be based on the site at Treignac. Our interest in the way art engages with other disciplines will produce documents that are of interest to a wide audience. These publications will slowly build up into an online library and the website will act as an educational tool. As a source of information apart from the daily functioning of the gallery, this site will attract a wider readership and more Google hits. This will help increase the profile and awareness of the project, and Limousin, in both the French and English speaking world.
Ecoulement, examines the deserted factory building at the moment it was taken over by the Treignac Projet. When the building was closed down in the 80s, everything was left in place, with only the most important of the larger machinery being sold off. Consequently office material, old stock, spare parts and machinery were left exactly where they were. At various times the factory was broken into and plundered, squatted or simply used as a playground, and the abandoned articles started their migration around the site, becoming mixed up, spilled out and destroyed. Ecoulement, or flow, captures this movement and relates it to architectural function.
