This event is initiated by Asit Bhatt, as an extension of the 'New International School', in collaboration with architexturez.
It is an attempt to organize an international community and platform.
Manifesto
1. Le Corbusier: "Freeing the ground has become false. Occupying the ground in the military sense of the term has become the sole true action…" - This foreclosure of the ground is precisely the death of formative model.
2. It is urgent to invent a conceptual and programmatic model that is independent and functions outside the exhausted institutional framework. - This model is a discourse – a subversive model.
3. We aim to speculate this subversive model where the proximity of art and architecture is central in order to manifest a ground of intervention and intension. - This proximity is the possibility for new relations- the radical ones.
Program:
Symposium: From 28th Sept. 09 to 7th Oct. 09 (10days) at Gurgaon, Delhi, India.
Various groups and individuals from diverse background (artists, curators, architects) will participate forming connections and discussions around the possibility of the 'New- model'.
The gathering will take place within an architectural office- transforming the corporate production space in to an experimental studio space.
All the participants are requested to join the group/portal on- http://portal.architexturez.org/site/groups/09.09
This will allow participants to put the initial ideas and material on board and develop cross connections, relations and tensions with other participants.
Conference: On 9th, 10th, and 11th Oct. 09 (3days) at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, India.
The findings of the symposium will be shared with the public and media in a 3days conference.
A final document will be compiled after the conference, which will be published by 'architexturez'.
